What is Vulvovaginal Thrush ?

Vulvovaginal thrush is a common fungal infection that can cause itching, irritation, and unusual discharge.

Common Symptoms

  • Itching or soreness around the vagina
  • Thick white discharge

Exclusion Criteria - Who is this Service not suitable for ?

  • If this is your first episode of vaginal thrush
  • If you are pregnant or think you may be pregnant
  • If you experience frequent or recurring episodes of vaginal thrush
  • Individuals aged less than 16 years
  • Individuals aged more than 60 years

If you are feeling generally unwell or have symptoms that could indicate sepsis, seek urgent medical care from your GP or your nearest Emergency Department.

What Happens Next ?

To allow the pharmacist to determine whether you are suitable for treatment under the Common Conditions Service, you will need to provide some additional information. Please follow the instructions provided to submit your details.

Once your information has been received, the pharmacist will review it and contact you by phone.
