What is an Uncomplicated Urinary Tract Infection? (UTI)
An uncomplicated UTI is a bladder infection that typically causes discomfort or pain when passing urine.
Common Symptoms
- A burning sensation during urination
- A strong, sudden urge to urinate

Exclusion Criteria - Who is this Service not suitable for ?
- Pregnant people
- People who are experiencing fever
- People who have back pain
- Male patients (require GP referral)
- Individuals aged less than 16 years
- Individuals aged more than 64 years
If you are feeling generally unwell or have symptoms that could indicate sepsis, seek urgent medical care from your GP or your nearest Emergency Department.
