Impetigo is a highly contagious bacterial skin infection that leads to the development of sores and crusted patches on the skin.

  • Red sores or blisters
  • Honey-coloured or golden crusting

Exclusion Criteria - Who is this Service not suitable for ?

  • People with an extensive infection or an infection that is spreading widely
  • People who have a fever
  • People with an infection located close to the eyes
  • Individuals aged less than 2 months

If you are feeling generally unwell or have symptoms that could indicate sepsis, seek urgent medical care from your GP or your nearest Emergency Department.
