What are Allergic Rhinitis and Allergic Conjunctivitis (Hay Fever) ?

These are allergic conditions that affect the nose and eyes, and are commonly known as hay fever. These are common immune system responses to airborne allergens like pollen, pet dander, or mold. They involve inflammation of the nasal passages and eyes, causing sneezing, congestion, itchy, watery red eyes, and fatigue. Symptoms can be seasonal or year-round, often treated with antihistamines, nasal sprays, and allergen avoidance.

  • Red, itchy, or watery eyes

Exclusion Criteria - Who is this Service not suitable for ?

  • People who are experiencing severe eye pain
  • People who have blurred vision
  • People with symptoms that are affecting only one eye
  • Individuals aged less than 2 years

If you are feeling generally unwell or have symptoms that could indicate sepsis, seek urgent medical care from your GP or your nearest Emergency Department.
