ORAL THRUSH
What is Oral Thrush ?
A fungal infection in the mouth that leads to creamy white patches on the tongue, inner cheeks, or other areas inside the mouth.
Common Symptoms
- White patches inside the mouth that scratch off to reveal red area(s) underneath
- Mouth soreness or discomfort

Exclusion Criteria - Who is this Service not suitable for ?
- People who are experiencing repeated or recurring symptoms
- Anyone having difficulty swallowing
- Individuals aged less than 1 month
If you are feeling generally unwell or have symptoms that could indicate sepsis, seek urgent medical care from your GP or your nearest Emergency Department.
What Happens Next ?
To allow the pharmacist to determine whether you are suitable for treatment under the Common Conditions Service, you will need to provide some additional information. Please follow the instructions provided to submit your details.
Once your information has been received, the pharmacist will review it and contact you by phone. Depending on the details you provide, the pharmacist may: arrange an in-person consultation at the pharmacy, offer advice and treatment, or refer you to another appropriate healthcare professional if this service is not suitable for you.
